The so-called red bug has not been seen for 60 years, but recently a house was infested with this insect that returned with even more ‘powers’.
According to the Daily Mail, this insect had disappeared in 1940, and according to scientists, it has been confirmed that the insect has returned and is reproducing and proliferating much faster than before.
The bed bug was found in a home in Florida, but because they can climb on anything, they have the ability to contaminate any location and be carried by us to other locations (including countries).

According to Brittany Campbell, a student of ontological medicine at UF-IFAS, the new or reappearing bed bugs are the same as the previous ones, except they can proliferate more quickly, and that is something extremely worrying.
“This means these insects can cause infection much more quickly,” Campbell added. “As long as people continue to have the ability to travel and move around, these bugs have that ability as well.”
What are bed bugs?
They are insects that feed on human blood, which they do at night. They only have the ability to walk and climb on any surface, but they cannot fly or jump.
According to some experts , bed bugs originally infested animal nests, including birds, but over time they “realized” that they could also feed on humans.
They like to live indoors, preferably in people’s beds, so they can feed while they sleep. They attach themselves to clothing, furniture, and virtually everything, which is why they can proliferate so quickly.
Are they dangerous?
No.
Can they be annoying?
If a person has been bitten for two to three weeks, they may develop a sensitivity to bedbug saliva and develop an allergy. The only way this can be serious is if the person develops a severe allergy.
Other risks for humans are that they can develop infections when they become dry, causing a more dangerous wound, especially if the person is diabetic.
How to get rid of these insect infestations?

According to WebMD , you should wash towels, curtains, bedding, clothing, and anything else you think is contaminated in very hot water. You can use plastic covers on mattresses so they can’t stick and live there. It’s also recommended that if mattresses or couches are severely infested, you get rid of them.
You can also buy poison, but if you only use poison and don’t follow the other steps, you won’t be able to get rid of them.
