The word “resilience” became widely known after the publication of Boris Cyrulnik’s book “The Wonderful Misfortune.”
But what exactly does it mean? The concept of resilience lies in the ability of human beings, both adults and children, to recover and overcome various traumas they experience.
Early grief, abandonment, abuse, physical violence, war, illness, loss of all kinds. A resilient person is able to integrate into society and live a full life, despite adverse experiences.
Surely you have already experienced unfortunate situations and, one way or another, sooner or later, you managed to put that unfortunate event behind you.
How did you manage to adapt? Look at this image and maybe you’ll find part of the answer, because the number of faces you discover will tell you how resilient you are.
