Do you like peppermint? Here I’ll explain how to grow it.

Hello, in this article I will explain how you can reproduce peppermint very easily.

You will need:

  • A container of water.
  • A spearmint cutting or fragment; it should be about 10 cm long.
  • Scissors or sharp knife.
  • A pot of at least 10 cm in diameter.
  • Seedling substrate or universal substrate mixed with sand.
  • Small stones or gravel.

Reproduction of peppermint

First, you need to cut a cutting from the mint plant; it should be at least 10 cm long. Make sure the cutting is clean, free of soil and insects.

Second, make a beveled cut at the base of the stake and then insert it into a container of water. The container should be placed in a location with plenty of light and a comfortable temperature.

Third, in about 10 or 15 days, the cutting will have enough roots to be planted. The roots should be about 3 or 4 cm long.

Fourth, clean the pot and add stones to the bottom; these will serve as drainage. Then fill the pot halfway with soil and insert the stake. Continue filling until the roots are covered with soil.

Fifth, water the plant and place the pot in a location that doesn’t get full sun. It should be in partial shade, meaning it should get some sunlight.

In just a few days, you’ll be able to see your plant growing and producing new leaves. If this happens, then all your efforts have paid off.

Keep the plant in the pot until it grows; once it has strong roots, you can repot it.
